Accepting the blame

We see it happen every single day of the week. Someone does something wrong and instead of just accepting the guilt they make up an excuse or try to blame it on someone else. No one else forces anyone to do anything. At the end of the day we all have the choice to do what we know is right or to do the wrong thing. When you make that choice and you get caught just freaking own up to it...Mr. Rodriguez.

No one made these baseball players take illegal drugs. They all made that choice on their own terms. For the most part the ones who got caught accepted it. He is the only one and the one who did the most wrong, that is filing an appeal. He claims he is trying to save his life. Well maybe if you wouldn't have decided to cheat your way through your career by doing drugs you wouldn't have to go through all this crap. I never in my life will understand why athletes, singers, actors...etc who have been give  everything would throw it all away for freaking drugs. ARod is a joke in the world of baseball anymore and he is the only one responsible for his career falling apart. He made the choice to use a ban substance and got caught. So stop acting like the freaking asshole prick you are and just own up to it and admit it. Don't sit there and try to play the innocent card when everyone knows you aren't. It's like lance armstrong all freaking over again.

People wonder why I can't stand the Yankees. It's because players like him give that team a horrible name. There are others on that team I can't stand but he is by far the biggest jackass on that team. It's a wonder he is divorced cause I certainly don't think I'd be able to put up with being married to him either.

Aside from the a rod stuff this rings in true for all of us. If you do something wrong don't lie about it or try to hide it just admit that you did it. You will feel a lot better if you just say I fucked up. People will understand if you made a mistake cause we all make them. I make them every day about something.

Backstreet's BACK!

So earlier today I read on the internet of someone complaining about the Backstreet Boys putting out a new album. What is wrong with them putting out a new album?! They are together 20 years and what better way to celebrate than putting out a new album which is sure to be a chart topper like all of their other albums? Then said person proceded to say something about why are 30 year old men trying to copy One Direction...Uhhhh more like One Direction is copying them. One Direction has already said they are fans of the Backstreet Boys and have looked at them as inspiration. The Backstreet Boys are the best selling boy band in history. They were the ones that were out long before One Direction probably before some of the members of One Direction were even old enough to know what the hell a boy band even was. Guess what their album only one day after release is number 3 in the US and I guarentee by the end of the week it is going to be number 1. It already is in Europe and Japan. The other difference is One Direction fans are there right now they may not be there later. Backstreet Boys fan base has been there from the very beginning and is still there now. That says a lot about the attachment their fans have to them and their music. Their music is going to withstand time and you can bet on that. Years from now people will still be talking about the Backstreet Boys can you honestly say the same about One Direction, or the Jonas Brothers or any other boy band that is out right now...probably not. I don't even think One Direction is going to make it that long. My personal opinion of their new album and I have listend to every song. It is the same old BSB that all of us fell in love with 20 years ago. Their music is yes more grown up but remember so are they. All boy bands will change their lyrics and style as they get older. It happens with age you start writing about different things. These men have families now so it's expected that they would write a song about children. That is my rant for the day. Long Live BSB!

I'm back

It's been a while since I have been on blogger. I run sports blog on a different website but this one I'll use strictly to rant and rave about things that I see or hear that cause my opinions to come out. This first blog is about something that is a very real issue to me. I saw online the other day about a man complaining of all these restaurants switching over to gluten free. Said man complained that it's stupid that they are doing it just to cave into some dietary fad. Just because it is becoming a popular thing it doesn't mean every single person that is on a gluten free diet is just doing it because of some fad. Actually it started not as a fad if you had any knowledge or even cared you would know that.

I am one of those people that has to eat gluten free and I don't do it by my own choice. I do it because I have no other choice if I'd like to live a healthy and fulfilling lifestyle. I was diagnosed with Celiac disease months ago. Put yourself in the shoes of the other thousands and yes there are thousands of people all of the world that suffer from the same thing. Imagine growing up your entire life eating all the pasta, bread, etc that you want to eat and then one day being told that you can't eat it anymore. That it is slowly killing you because that is what happens if you don't follow the gluten free diet. Celiac disease is not a fad and it is not a joke. If you don't follow the strict diet it will KILL you there is no question about it. It will eventually kill your small intestine and your body's ability to absorb nutrients and then guess what it will lead to organ failure.

When people like me that have been used to eating and drinking whatever we wand are suddenly told they can no longer do that it makes it extremely difficult on us to go out with our friends and our family to any restaurant. So personally I think it's great that so many restaurants are offering gluten free items to make it easier on people with Celiac to go out to eat and actually be able to enjoy themselves. They did not do it because of some stupid dietary fad they did it because it is a health condition that is effecting a lot of people and those numbers are rising every year. Imagine what it was like before they knew what it was and people were diagnosed with it and didn't have the options that they have today.

It affects thousands of people and mostly those that are from Northern European descent. So yes there are Italian's who are diagnosed and told they can't eat the food they were raised on. According to my doctor it is actually because there is a gene that mutated in Europeans that people who have the ability to digest gluten have and those of us that have Celiac disease are missing that gene. There are gluten free restaurants and places to eat all over Europe because that is where this gene mutated from. So if your heritage is Northern European there as a chance that somewhere along the line in your family someone is going to end up with Celiac disease. The numbers are currently 1 in every 133 people have Celiac. That is not a small amount of people when you consider how many people live in this country alone.

It's not something that a lot of people chose to do its something they HAVE to do. It's hard enough as it is to be gluten free but to have people say things like that it really rubs me the wrong way. That is what is wrong with this freaking society they wonder why American's got the nickname "ignorant American" the guy that said that is the perfect example.
